'Holy shit. So how is it possible that you people composed the soundtrack for MY dreams? I should sue..... your music struck me hard within about 60 seconds.' Kramer

'simply wonderful... bizarre juxtapositions of different field recordings, elegantly put together to create this amazing and hypnotic sonic structure' - Emvelope Nine

'I love the way the disparate elements blend in, so that it's not just this genre or that, but a nice thing in and of itself' - Gurdonark

'Whilst listening to 'Tree falling slowly' and 'No Sanctuary' just there, I had a most splendiferously amazing trip into the depths of mind! - Memories of long forgotten dreams started to arise in a manner which was as haunting as it was breathtaking!!' - Float Method

'Well I may be a declutter expert, but it's great to allow exceptions to the rule and you, Clutter, are just such an exception! Love your music' - Mary McNeil

'Beyond simply intriguing - A very unique sound' - SSG

'slow blizzard is extraordinary...wonderful music' - Susan Matthews

'astounding!'' - Ta’avah

'These are beautiful sounds you are creating...Your new record is brilliant. Like sleeping in plasma' - David Wright LaGrone

Clutter works with a mixture of found sounds/field recordings and traditional instruments to produce highly textured soundscapes which drift in and out of focus.

Sometimes they float beautifully near dub and dance other times they rattle your head. At all times clutter produces works of excellence. Before being called Clutter he was called Manassas.

ANODYNE HI-FI OUT NOW!! The new Clutter album is released by Earth Monkey Productions

It's the classic Clutter fair mixing dance beats with dub all shot through with experimental / electroacoustic trimmings to produce at once a familier but yet unique sound. Processed field recordings are again at the heart of the album but for the first time I've not used Barow as the inspiration - after 3 albums (as Manassas, Clutter and with poet Ann Wilson) I thought it was time to move on and have used voices found at The Internet Archive.

Tracklisting is as follows:

  1. Seven Minutes To Wisdom
  2. High Hopes
  3. Under Control
  4. Short Of A Miracle
  5. Branches For Many Birds
  6. Abide With Dub
  7. The B Track aka Brass Track
  8. Board In The USA
  9. Fears All Gone Now

Download Anodyne Hi-Fi

The album is a free download with full artwork on d/a73 (US) & Earth Monkey Productions (UK)

When Bill Danced The War CD is available from The Word Hoard

As part of her Arts Council England Fellowship at The Word Hoard in Huddersfield, Canadian writer Sarah Murphy has collaborated with musicians Shaun Blezard and Keith Jafrate to create a performance version of her story when bill danced the war. Through a strange, powerful hybrid of spoken word, jazz, improv and sound-art, the trio have created an intense sound world that mixes radio, pow wow drums, loops, effects, samples and saxophones, to surround Sarah's fierce anti-war story, which concerns the horrors witnessed by her Choctaw father Bill, a sailor who was involved in 3 American wars. when bill danced the war first appeared in the text and in Sarah's 2002 collection die tinkerbell die from The Word Hoard's Spout Publications. The live performance of when bill danced the war represents a new and exciting direction in an ongoing collaboration.
